Seeing time as discontinuity will result in a mechanistic understanding. And idea of time as continuity will result in a teleological way of understanding of life - some purpose, some goal, and you have some way to attain that goal. It is actually a dynamic change of life. When we follow that dynamic change of every being, our goal will be attained.
