Written in the 1930s about Shunryu Suzuki by a young man who was traveling in Japan and China with Nona Ransom, Suzuki's English teacher in college.
There's lots on her in cuke. Nona's adopted son, Harry Ransom Rose sent me this piece. He said that David Barrow is the only Westerner who traveled with Nona or knew her that he knew of, that Barrow was a general's son, and that he died in WWII. Harry Ransom Rose was so helpful.
