If you try to calm down your mind you cannot sit, and if you try not to be disturbed by it, your effort will not be right effort. Want to add something to Saturday's comment about the hundreds of corrections that have been made to the Shunryu Suzuki transcripts (default or most verbatim versions). Of course we will be adding errors and making mistakes too. It would be good to check them against the tapes again, especially with the more clear digital versions we have now. Anyway, the process is almost endless even in an archive this small. - dc
