Accident
So nothing happens just by accident. When
something happens, there should be some reason. It is caused by Dharma. In this
sense, truth is close to the Dharma Nature. But we can understand it in some
way, we can figure out some rules. In Buddhism, those rules, or that truth, is
sometimes called the Dharma itself. That is the way in which we call it the
Dharma Body. It is the source of all truth. --------------------------- Excerpt from Shunryu Suzuki lecture - 68-10-00-B as found on shunryusuzuki.com. Edited by DC - Going through Suzuki lectures and posting anything that can stand on its own. Not looking for zingers or "the best of." I find that following these excerpts daily provides another way to experience Suzuki's teaching. - DC
